The LDM program’s focus was on training leaders, supporting action, networking and sustainability.

Training Leaders

LDM designed custom programs for Leadership Fellows or matched them with relevant training programs either in their own country or abroad. We expanded the network by offering opportunities for continued leadership development to new individuals and teams within selected organizations. 

Supporting Action

LDM encouraged action by providing ongoing learning opportunities for Leadership Fellows, organizing study tours, giving travel and learning grants for attendance at relevant conferences, and supporting mini-grant opportunities.

Networking

The vibrant Leadership Fellows networks are structured differently in each country, some containing thematic interest groups and others formed in geographic regions. All are linked through various technologies and social media.

Sustainability

LDM is committed to sustaining the different networks of reproductive health leaders so that the power of their collective action for reproductive health and systems change can continue into the future. In addition, the program provided leadership development for key partners delivering organizational development or leadership development programs in each country.
